[The thief smiled despite the sad look in her eyes. How she missed the smell of that drink and the loud laughter that came with it when she was younger. Not so blessed with a colorful past, she holds on to the tiny moments between the robberies and scams she was asked to pull off.]

"A glass of wine would suffice then, dear."

[She turned her attention back to the window. Trying to distract the onslaught of pleasant days on her mind, the cat had to be focused. She wouldn't have gone this far if she kept looking back. In this business, there was no room for emotions, memories or any of those things that make you as weak and as vulnerable as the rest of mankind. Think sinister and sly thoughts. Not thoughts of giggling children in the street, spare change in their little palms and angered sidewalk vendors running after them. She rubbed at her temples, she really did need a drink.]

The small girl turned to her other patrons and gave them a nervous half smile before scurrying off to serve her more unruly customers.

Hei turned back to nursing his drink, taking a soft drink of it. This was a nice enough place, but the louder it seemed to get, the more he was not interested in being there. He was good socially one on one -granted his inability to really talk with people didn't help, but he liked to think that his own natural charm would make people at least a little interested in him on a one to one basis. Hei was only comfortable in large situations, as the bar was developing into, when he knew almost everyone there. He could recognize some of these people, but knew none of them. This would be an easy place for someone to take advantage of him. He was a capable youth, but he'd also survived in this business because he was very careful. It would do him no good to go back on this now, where he was his most vulnerable.

He was taking stock of the other inhabitants of the bar when he noticed his companion looking at him with those harsh, beautiful eyes of hers. He turned to look at her inquisitively, and her mouth started moving again. It was still hard for him to understand entirely what she said, he missed quite a few things, but he seemed to understand what she meant to say. Something about being careful, though the meaning in its entirety was lost on him.

Taking another shot at what she'd said, he nodded softly and uttered a soft "I will" before taking another drink.

She gave a brisk nod at his response, wondering just how much of her words he'd understood. Picking up her glass to sip at it again, a bit more quickly. She wished to leave soon, and Natalya never left a good glass of wine to go to waste.

As she finished the wine, she took the time to watch how everyone interacted. As the last of the wine was swallowed, she set the glass on the table, and grabbed her purse off the table. Her fingers brushed against the sharp blade that was hidden there, as they reached for her wallet. As she pulled the worn clothe wallet out, she locked her eyes on Hei. Leaning on the table, and towards the boy, she spoke slowly, softly, “I would not suggest lingering here.”

With that said, she left money on the table for her drinks, and stood up. She took a second to smooth out her skirt, and run her fingers through her hair, before leaving, passing the other customers briskly and without a second glance.

She nodded, apologetically. This woman looked kind of sad. Angelique had the urge to hug her, but didn't think that would be particularly appreciated. Not to mention it would mean bending down, and she didn't trust her skirt to cover her up as well as she'd like, the last thing she wanted to do was flash the guys here.

"Okay... I'll be right back then." She turned slowly, and made her way back to the bar, taking note that the blonde woman had left. She went around to the other side of the bar this time, giving a smile to the bartender, before dropping down to look for something that looked similar to the word she'd scribbled on her notepad.

It took her a while, before she finally found a bottle of it. Feeling rather surprised, and very happy, she stood up with the bottle in hand and looked over at the bartender. "Do you know how this is served?"

He shrugged, so she decided to guess. She poured a good amount of it into a glass, one of the ones for wine, and carefully put the bottle back where it had been.

Taking the glass, she went back to where the woman was, "I'm pretty sure this is what you were looking for, if it's not, I can still get you that glass of wine, though."

The Filipina saw the flash of compassion in the waitress’ eyes. She seems really nice, wouldn’t want her to get involved with her. She took note of her name, Angelique. In case something breaks out from near here. She’ll make sure the young girl would make it. The Asian looked out the window again, seeing a faint reflection of tan skin and chocolate brown eyes staring back at her. She has changed quite a lot. And she loved it. She gave a small smile to adorn her reflection before she looked out the window again. She was doing some thieveries for small time bad guys until she got the ‘GO’ signal from her boss.

The scary Belarusian lady left, making it easier to see the Chinese man she was with. Her intimidating aura made it difficult for her to observe him. The female mafia member glanced at him and briefly wondered if he was somehow related to the boss. Maybe he was the ally he was talking about? The burglar could not know for sure. Just because somebody looked Asian and mafia material did not mean he was clearly on their side. Boss did not send her an image of this accomplice yet so she just watched him from the corner of her eye every now and then.
She fiddled with her phone for a bit and looked at the screen. No new messages. Her signal bar was down. This sucked. What if she was getting some sort of important call from the Asia boss?

Busying herself by looking out the window again, she tsk-ed as she saw that the good for nothing who hired her was not there yet. How dare he keep her waiting? She rolled her eyes and fiddled at her phone once more, trying to get the signal bar up. The young waitress came back and surprisingly she had the drink she was looking for. Her eyes brightened as she smiled, “Yes! This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you dear. This is fine.” She smiled a sincerely thankful smile as she took the drink, eyes glimmering as she took in the aroma, bringing back memories. She took out her wallet and gave her a huge tip. “Here’s a little something from me to you.” She winked. “Oh,” she took out a few more. “Here’s a little something for him too.” She grinned as she gestured at the bartender. Call her childish but this drink got her spirits up. And she didn’t even drink yet! She enjoyed the smell once more before taking a well deserved sip, the 40% alcohol content sending shivers down her spine.

She felt herself warm inside, knowing that she'd been able to do something that brightened someone else's day so well. Lately, she'd felt a bit like she was just getting in everyone's way, it was nice to know she'd done something good for somenoe else.

Angelique was nearly turning away, when the other woman pulled out her wallet. The tip she gave was far too much, and Angelique was hesitant to take it. Every cent counted, so even with that small bit, she was very happy.

She was a bit flabbergasted, and it showed clearly on her face. She took the money for the bartender, setting it in a pocket, so she wouldn't forget the next time she made her way around to him.

“Are you certain you want to give us this much? It's an awful lot, and it isn't really necessary for you to give tips...”

Not that the tips weren't very appreciated, they truly were. Every little cent was useful, and Angelique couldn't bring herself to turn away the money, even though it was more then she'd normally get. She put it in the pocket she kept her notepad and pen.

Having a feeling that the other woman wouldn't take no for an answer, she finally let her surprised expression melt into a warm smile, “If there's anything else you need tonight, please, don't hesitate to ask, okay?”

Clara was smiling ear to ear at the young waitress. She was hesitant but she took it anyway. She chuckled at that. The Filipina remembered that before she found life boring, she would take different jobs and switch after a month or so once she found it boring. Said jobs included being a waitress so she can very much relate to how the girl reacted.

The young waitress was a very sweet thing, probably oblivious to how dark the world really is. The female mafiaso felt like it was her duty to warn her about it but she was afraid this may affect the girl’s optimism. “Don’t worry darling, I will.” She finally replied as she smiled at her. “Although I do think that this place won’t be jam-packed anytime soon. Until then, won’t you join me for a glass or two? I promise I won’t keep you once this place starts buzzing up.” The thief grinned and patted the other seat. It seemed like the client had no plan of showing up anyway.

((A/N: Short reply is short. I apologize Sey-chan ><))

Angelique had reason to give pause when the woman asked if she'd like to sit down. While it was true that they weren't very busy here yet, it was still early. Despite her rush to get here on time, and then to make herself busy, there wasn't much to be done. It would get busy later, she hoped- as tiring as this work could be, it was also better then how boring it could be on a slow night. The idea of just hanging out at the bar, or wiping down tables that had been cleaned several times already was never a very thrilling one.

“I... I suppose, it couldn't hurt, just for a moment or two...” She couldn't take the offer of a drink or two, the last thing she needed to do was get caught drinking while on the clock. She could always explain away the sitting down, a dizzy spell, or something simple like that- but a drink... She'd never been much of a drinker anyway, so it was just as well.

Nervously, she slid into the seat opposite of the other woman. Crossing her ankles, and resting one hand on the table, the other on her lap, like she'd been taught to by her family here in Italy. “I don't mean to pry... But, may I ask your name?”

That wasn't the question she really wanted to ask. She was curious, the only woman who came here to sit alone was the blond one that had left just a few minutes ago. It wasn't normal, in Angelique's experience, for someone to sit alone like this. However, the last thing she needed to do was be rude by asking out right why this young woman was doing so.

She couldn't be rude to a customer- certainly not to one that was being so kind, and had given such a generous tip. A name was good place to start.[/

This place wasn't half bad for an establishment of it's nature, and he liked the pretty waitresses. Dressing in a pair of comfortable brown slacks, and a white button up shirt that was not tucked in. His tie was loose, not pulled up all the way under the collar. Venturing across the somewhat crowded floor he picked out his seat; a little spot near the bar area, and not near the back. Sedgewick did not really feel like pulling off that aloof man look, and sitting in the back wouldn't win him any conversations with the women. Stretching his legs out a little bit under the table he grabbed a menu on the table. His green eyes scanned over the alcohol choices, and the appetizers he could satiate his hunger with.

Police came here too so he had heard, and he had half hoped to see Arthur here. Yet, as he looked around the clusters of people he did not see the man. Shame really, working with Artie had been probably some of the best years of his life. Apparently though the police force had thought he was a little too over the top for their liking. Whatever, they couldn't appreciate his genius if it had slapped them right in the face. Was Sedgewick bitter about the events that had transpired? A little bit perhaps but, ever since then he was not going to lie how nice it felt. There was a certain liberation that came with turning in his badge, and now he could do what he wanted the way he wanted. At first finding work was not very easy but, he made ends meet for the while with odd jobs for buddies of his.

Then it happened, a friend called on him to inquire about how he was doing. Without so much as a hesitant pause Sedgewick told him what happened. Now he knew this friend, and he knew the man had connections with the less than savory crowd. Yet, that was not something that bothered the Scottish man in the least, no what he was after right now was a secure job. He had done well to explain his skills and asked if he could put in a good word with his associate.

Well, here Sedgewick was now as the Demolitions Expert for the U.K branch of the mafia. The pay was good, the accommodations were amazing, and there was the benefit of lovely ladies. All in in all he felt the decision to join was a good one.

She was walking back to the bar to give the bartender the rather nice tip she'd recieved when she noticed the newest customer coming inside. She had really been hoping to go straight to the bar, but she could spy her boss out of the corner of her eye and knew it would be better to make her way over to the man who'd just seated himself. So patting down her apron for a second, she took out her little notepad and her pen, just in case he asked for something complicated or wanted food as well as something to drink.

He was certainly handsome enough, though his flaming red hair struck her as a bit obnoxious. The way he held himself was certain, he was someone who thought very highly of himself, and since she didn't know it, she couldn't say if he was wrong. Either way, he'd likely have a rather annoying attitude due to it.

Telling herself not to judge until she knew him, though, she brought that pretty smile to her face she was supposed to use on all the customers, and walked up to the table he was at. "Hello, welcome to the Nightshade, is there anything you'd like?"

Sedgewick had been looking over the menu before the young woman had come over. That did not mean he had not noticed her when he walked in. After all, he made a note to quickly scan the area with his eyes before officially taking a seat. The red head had been halfway done with deciding what the hell he even wanted, and then she had come over with a pleasant smile. She was definitely a cute one, and there was no denying that fact at all. Setting his menu down the Scotsman decided to not play up his flirtations tonight. No, tonight Sedgewick was going to try and be somewhat normal, try.
"Ey' there, are you doing good tonight?" The man inquired with a friendly smile. "Hm, I would like a gin and tonic please, oh and a glass of water. Food wise, burger with no pickles, extra ketchup please, and I would like chips. Wait you guys call them fries don't ya?" The man laughed a little bit and handed the menu over to the young woman.

"I have to learn to get over that habit, chips and fries, biscuits and cookies. I start confusing myself and other people after a while." Sedgewick said sitting back in his chair.

Stepping into the Nightshade, the brunette looked around, unsure if he should really stop in here. Mustering up hier courage, the Lithuanian walked further into the bar, going towards a table. It was a nice place; perfect amount of decor, comfortable seats, great service, not to mention the food was nice, too. Toris was dressed in his after-work workout clothes consisting of black gym pants, for comfort, and a white wife-beater. To top it off, he had his jacket covering him, deeming it a bit chilly outside, and his hair was tied back into a loose ponytail.

Work had been slowing down a bit for him, nothing too serious coming up, and it was making him restless. There was no way that the crime and 'accidental' killings ceased, no way. They were being careful, very careful. Word on the street was that the Russian mafia's Don was in town. Odd, usually these types were territorial. Rubbing his cheek, Toris stared blankly at the menu as he thought, coming up with a list of people he knew that could get answers, or at least some information on the Russian man..

He rubbed his forehead, starting to get a headache, and looked around. He was oblivious to his surroundings at times, and he admitted to himself that this indeed was one of those times. He idly watched the waitresses walk around, not finding any real interest in them, and scanned the establishment's patrons, picking out faces, studying them.

She kept the smile on her face, and took out her notepad as he started to talk. Writing quickly, her hand writing more of a scribble than anything legible, it was a good thing she could read it herself. Her lips quirked up a bit as he laughed, he was handsome, and nice, it seemed. A good catch for anyone that might be interested, she thought, as she scratched out 'chips' and wrote 'fries' over it in small letters.

Her smile came a bit more easily now, not as forced, and she tucked the notepad away in her apron again, “We get a few people in here who mess them up, actually.” She, herself, had been known to get the two mixed up. Though they were often called fries back home, the only place on La Digue that she liked to have them at always called them chips. “It shouldn't take long to get you're food, I'll bring your drinks to you first, okay?”

As she spoke, she noticed someone new entering the bar, and glanced around to see if one of the other waitresses could get that customer, but it seemed like she was the only one here tonight, which would be okay if it stayed slow like this. Slow was good, and she wouldn't complain, even if the tips from more people would be very well appreciated.

Sedgewick gave a small chuckle and made sure to sit back more comfortably in his chair. Momentarily his green eyes discreetly looked the slightly tan girl up and down. Wondering where she was from he lofted a brow and then spoke.
"So, where are you from? Though I will say I am glad that there are others who mess it up; doesn't make me feel like an idiot." The red headed Scotsman gave a laugh, and then sat up in his seat a bit.

Angelique felt her polite smile shift into one a bit more genuine. It was always nice to have customers that were talkative, and liked to converse, it made things less droll and exhausting. She shifted her weight a little bit, double checking to make sure there weren't any others who needed her right away. “You probably wouldn't know it, I'm from a little island near Africa. You're from Britain though, wi?”

She could hear it in his accent, somewhere around that area, had to be. She'd only been once, and it had only been in passing really. The main way to travel to and from the Seychelles Islands was through England or France, her cousin had had her fly into England, back when she was very small, before flying her out here to Italy.

Sedgewick sat back and gave a nod as he stretched his arms out some. God, his muscles had been killing him all damn day. Then looking her up and down after she said where she was from he lofted a brow. Africa? Well technically that made her African right?
"Exotic, I've never met someone from Seychelles. Let's say usually like Libya, Morocco, or even South Africa. I like your accent though, it's cute. Don't tell me though you speak ...Seychellian Creole? Or however you say it...probably not Seychellian." The man gave a small chuckle. Okay, so perhaps he was not as worldly as he would like to think.

"Aye, I am from Great Britain in Scotland actually. I used to live in Glasgow, but if you're a Glaswegian you never get invited to parties. We're too 'racist' or 'temperamental' apparently to really be considered in good company." The man scoffed a little bit at that. Of course the English were the people he had heard those remarks from the most. It was really thoroughly disgusting that people though so little of people who lived in that city.
"Don't worry though, I'm not racist or I wouldn't be talking to you." The red head gave a grin.
