香港日志 - Hong Kong's Diary - Diary10

My life has been complicated for the past few days, but I must not complain too much. I would have much proffered a red journal, though a black one will do just as well. I will simply have to do with a red pen, that should be lucky enough, though I imagine England woulds scold me for such old thinking.

Speaking of England I have not seen him in a good while, I should visit him in the near future. I know he is a busy man but I'm sure he will be able to entertain me for a short time. I invited China over for tea not to long ago, and he agreed to come, but we have not yet set a date. He hasn't gotten back to me yet. I know he's busy with this fishing boat business and Japan, but when is he not busy with Japan or Korea? That is all fine and well, I will be here when he decides to visit.

I came across North Korea not to long ago. He seemed well, underfed, but well. I offered him food, but when I came back he was gone. I saw Yong Soo in the same area, perhaps they disappeared together. I hear they are doing better these days, but those are turbulent waters to be sailing. I will keep my distance unless they require or request my presence.

I ran into Seychelles today in a supermarket. It was wonderful to see her again, it has been such a long time since I have had anything to do with that side of my family, it was rather refreshing. We retreated to a nearby cafe and were in the process of talking when she received a call. She excused herself and took it, but not long after I noticed she had finished and wasn't moving. I went out to see what was wrong and noticed she was crying. I didn't know what to do, I tried to help but I fear I am very bad at it. I'm good at many things, but I've never comforted someone when they needed it most. Afterwards she thanked me, and gave me a kiss. I was not expecting that. I know that it is customary for French to kiss one another casually, but I am an Asian man, I've no experience with such a thing. It was, nice.

I hope she will do it agai

It would be nice to see her again soon, but I doubt she will want to. I will invite her out some time soon none the less. It is the right thing to do, just to make sure she is recovering, and is feeling much better.

The problem seems to be France. I've never had a high opinion of the man - I was once England's - but he seems to be hurting her without even trying. The way she clings to him and waits for his approval is endearing, but it will only hurt her when he forgets how faithful she is to him. Its something I'll never quite understand, how she loves him so. I care for England, yes, but I've never been anything more then a useful tool for him, and he has never been more than a neglectful guardian at best. I have memories of China loving me and caring for me when I was very young, before I even knew of England's existence, but the China of today is not the same man. Perhaps that person never really existed at all.

I have divulged to long, I wish Seychelles the best, and hope to see her again soon. I will also visit England in the near future, there are things he has not been telling me of and I am rather hurt to be kept out of family business. I will see if I can loosen his lips. If Prussia is abusing them half as much as Seychelles implies, then it shouldn't be to difficult.

I took some time out of my busy schedule to visit England today. I mentioned before that he has been keeping me out of the loop. Its annoying, surely, but understandable. I've no place in this family any more, so there is no need to alert me of such things. None the less, I was curious and wanted to know what had been happening.

I was concer

Call it dumb curiosity. I showed up, and as was expected, England was rather close lipped. It isn't uncommon, I usually have to force things out of him, though I always try to give him ample opportunity to tell me what I want to know first. I tried to be as civil as possible before I stopped pulling my punches. I got him rather flustered, I'll only admit here that I rather like to see him like that. Its the only time he's overly emotional with me. Even if I must instigate, its still nice.

I got a decent amount of information out of him - as much as I expected - but my curiosity is far from sated.

I called Seychelles and invited her out to a park I think she will enjoy. To my utter surprise she agreed. I won't say I am displeased - because I'm actually very happy about it - but I still worry. Is she better? Or will I continue to be a shoulder for her to cry on?
