| Raivis listened carefully this time, trying to remember the blonde’s name by repeating it to himself over and over again in his head. Feliks, Feliks, Feliks… The rest of what his housemate was saying almost went over his head, but he got that Feliks was offering some kind of magic that could change what he looked like. Raivis tried to imagine himself as someone different for a moment, but the person he pictured looked almost the same on the outside. Maybe a little taller. More muscular. Less freckles. But the part he wanted to change the most wasn’t anything physical at all. He wanted to be stronger inside too. He wanted things like confidence, respect, and security. Raivis wanted to be a braver person than he was. Those things couldn’t really be gained through magic though, could they? Maybe it was possible somehow…
The small blonde hummed slightly in response and looked back down at the desserts on the table. What should he try next? He didn’t want to get a stomach ache, but everything here just looked so good. Getting his mind back on something as simple as sweets was enough to calm him down a bit. He selected an apple tart and began picking at it as Feliks spoke to him. He nodded with his mouth full and looked around the table, trying to guess what Angelique would like. Chocolate cake, cookies, sweetbreads…His eyes landed on the blueberry pie, and he felt something urge him to take it in the back of his mind. Raivis barely gave it a second thought. He grabbed a slice and tried to wrap it in a napkin without making too much of a mess. The filling stained the white paper, but he managed to get it in a portable form with enough napkins added to the sides. If only he was allowed to take a plate...but that would probably get him in trouble. The first year felt a bit silly, but this was for his friend, so maybe it was okay.
With his mind back on Angelique again, Raivis’ worry quickly resurfaced. Was she okay? He may not have known her long, but seeing his new friend cry had really unsettled him. He hated to think of her unhappy when he couldn’t even be there to offer a bit of comfort. Would Clara be able to make her feel better on her own? Maybe she didn’t really need him, but as it was, Raivis was having a hard time sitting still. He just wanted to keep his cool and enjoy his housemates’ company without looking clingy or pathetic. It shouldn’t have been so difficult, really. He had only gotten through half of his apple tart, however, when something dropped in his stomach. It was a bad feeling, one that had nothing to do with digestion, yet hurt him on the inside nonetheless. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, and he shot a glance up at Feliks, as if he somehow expected him to feel it too. What was this?
Angelique. She was walking somewhere. There was a feeling like…loneliness. Fear. No one was with her. Everything looked the same. Raivis could feel panic that wasn’t his own. Something close to desperation. She needed help! Before he even knew what he was doing, the young blonde was on his feet, pie clutched in his hands and head turned towards the door.
“My friend’s lost,” he blurted out to Feliks. “I have to go find her! Please, will you come with me? I don’t know my way around here yet, and I need-!”
He stopped short, realizing how stupid he must have sounded. How was he supposed to explain this sudden realization? Everyone would think he was crazy. He had no proof that Angelique was roaming the halls, just his own imagination. That’s right, it’s just my imagination… He attempted to lower himself back down into his seat, but that nagging feeling wouldn’t go away. His knees trembled, and finally, he wrenched himself away from the table, taking a few staggering steps back.
“N-nevermind…” he stammered. “If you don’t want to come, you don’t have to. I’ll…I’ll be back soon!”
With that, he scampered out of there as quickly as he could. It wasn’t until he was almost out of the Great Hall that he realized he didn’t have a clue where he was going, but the doubt wasn’t enough to stop him. He let himself be driven by his instinct. There had to be a way to find her. There just had to. The boy bit his lip and glanced at the open hallways before him. A few people were leaving already. Maybe if he followed one of the people that had come from his table, he could find his way to the Hufflepuff common room. Angelique had to be somewhere along the way, right? That was, if she really was lost to begin with…

| He was glad to see that the little guy had relaxed some and was taking pleasure in some of the finer points of Hogwarts life. Namely the desserts. Feliks rested one cheek against his palm, spooning his own sweets into his mouth as he watched Raivis dig into the tart and follow his suggestion (which made the Pole happy to think the new kid trusted his advice) by packing up a slice of pie for his friend. Feliks didn’t care what anyone said, a good slice of something sweet worked better as a pick-me-up than any spell or potion. There were few things that were quite that satisfying.
Feliks noticed as the kid became a bit fidgety again and wondered if the sugary desserts had something to do with it. He didn’t have the slightest inkling about the other’s worries for Feliks had gotten so used to thinking of Hogwarts as a home and his own personal business empire, that it was sometimes hard for him to remember how intimidating the place could be. Though the Pole had been quite the pathetic case when he’d first arrived. Nervous, shy thing that he had been, only able to come out of his shell once he’d gotten used to things and made a few friends. Discovering his talents had helped as well. He figured that was what this kid needed to do as well. Just find his niche and everything else would fall into place.
But now the Raivis kid was starting to look like he might be sick. Feliks guarded himself, tensed up and made ready to move should the boy hurl, but still managed to lean forward a bit out of concern. “Bro, you okay? You look a little-“ He was cut off by the sudden exclamation and jumped back, startled and confused. Raivis seemed to have been taken back by it himself and sank back into his chair.
“Ah….” Feliks didn’t quite know what to say. It had been a very weird outburst and just what made the kid think that his little friend was lost anyway? They’d just seen her carted off the common room with Clara and that girl had been around long enough to know Hogwarts like the back of her hand. Why would Angeli…what’shername be lost? He frowned as the boy pushed away from the table, sputtered something else, and took off. Feliks raised his eyebrows, watching Raivis go before sighing, swinging his legs around, and standing from the table to go after him. Last thing he needed was for his fellow Hufflepuffs to scold him for letting a first year get lost in the castle, probably not to be seen from again for a week. Plus it would kind of suck for the poor kid to have getting horribly lost mixed in with his memories of his first night at Hogwarts. The Pole set after him, thinking that Raivis moved fast for a little guy. Feliks caught up, panting a little as he watched the boy glancing up and down the hallways. “Geez, kid, if you were that freaked out you could have like, just asked me to take you to the common room to check on her. It’s not like it’s a big deal or anything. I know how to get into the kitchens so I can always get more dessert later.”

| Toris had been listening idly to everyone from down the table, picking at his bread that he had brought and listening to the music playing in his head. He watched Dumbledore, pretending to listen, while the first years filed in. He smiled at some here and there before his eyes landed on the young blond Hufflepuff. His eyes followed him, watching him sit down near Feliks and them.
Toris quickly turned his head away, looking back at the Sorting Hat. Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin.. The hat kept rattling off those words in random order. It was like this from year to year, each beginning always the same. Smiling to himself slightly, Toris tuned into Feliks' conversation. The blond boy was named Ravis? And there was a French sounding girl, too. The accent was quite distinct.
The brunet turned his head to look at the food fight that the Gryffindor's had caused. He saw the young Slytherin slip, the white haired kid from Slytherin slip in mashed potatoes. This wouldn't have ended well, and he was right. Una was fuming, Arthur, the proffessors. He hid his face, tucking a stray strand of hair behind his ear, and hummed gently to himself.
Soon, the food appeared, people dug in. He had tuned the others out as he ate, tuning back in when the French girl was led off by Clara. He looked after them before looking to the empty seats. Toris looked at Feliks briefly before his eyes flickered to Raivis, and then back to the seat.
Chewing on his lip, Toris debated whether or not he should go over and sit next to his friend, Feliks, for once. Sure, he was good friends with the other but he never really spoke when he was with the Polish boy, he was always the one that listened. He decided against it, not wanting to intrude. They seemed to be having a.. Odd conversation, if you could call it that.

| Sati was busy chatting with her fellow Hufflepuffs during the sorting. It was always fun to watch the reactions of the ones being sorted, but this year she was more interested in finding out about potential Death eaters in the school. Surely no Hufflepuffs would be decieved by Voldemort's empty promises!
As she chatted, the food appeared and she scrutinized the options carefully. Looks like it would be salad again. She sighed, heaping it onto her plate along with varying fruits and vegetables. The westerners ate too much meat! If someone hunted them for food, their opinion would change quickly. She dejectedly poured dressing on her food. No matter how much time passed in england, she always yearned for the cuisine in India. Oh well, this was her last year. Maybe she could move back?
She placed a forkful of salad in her mouth and began to eat. She paused to see a young man rise from the table. She raised an eyebrow, half paying attention. "Is he ok?" she asked outloud.
