She'd been able to stifle most of her crying until the older girl spoke to her. She choked on a sob, and tried to nod her head- she was okay, she had to be okay. It took everything she had not to completely dissolve into tears when she stood up and let Clara lead her out of the Great Hall.
The walk down to the Hufflepuff Common room was long, and Angelique spent most of it rubbing at her eyes, and pressing herself close to the older girl's side. About half way through the journey, she grabbed hold of Clara's shirt, and wouldn't let go until she was led into the common room. There, she moved away a bit, both hands reaching up to rub at her watery eyes. She sniffled, her shoulders shaking a bit. “Je suis tellement désolé,” She whimpered between sniffles and hiccups.
Finally, she looked up through blurry eyes, and blinked a few times to clear her vision. She didn't even know how to start apologizing. She'd started crying in the middle of the Great Hall, where everyone would see, that couldn't have looked good for the Hufflepuffs. Because of her, Miss Clara had left before dinner was done, and poor Raivis was sitting there all by himself. “I didn't-” She hiccuped, and blinked again, then bowed her head and shook her head, “I'm sorry.”
(( Je suis tellement désolé = I am so sorry. ))
