| Sati hummed quietly to herself as she walked up the road towards Ludwig's house. She was in the area and had decided to pay him a visit...if he had time. The Indian woman smiled; she had enjoyed their conversations immensely. Ludwig always had kind words and she found him to be rather agreeable, unlike most western men she had met. She paused briefly to adjust her sari as she neared his home. She wanted to look her best.
As her sandals softly padded on the concrete, she took a moment to admire the German's yard: mowed grass, neatly trimmed bushes and manicured flowers. It was all so neat and pristine! It was very different than the untamed brush and overgrown tropical plants she was accustomed to. Eastern and western thinking were so opposite. India wondered to herself if she could ever bridge that daunting gap, but then reminded herself that it was necessary. Even though Westerners had some very bizarre customs, they had their purpose and she had to understand that if she ever wanted to make peace with the rest of the world.
She turned towards the door, and approached. Sati rang the doorbell and held her breath. Maybe this wasn't a good time for him? Maybe he wasn't even home? But it was too late for second guesses now and she waited patiently.

| He'd been alone for most of the day. Ludwig had left early in the morning, while Gilbert was just dragging himself up out of the basement to get something to eat for breakfast, when the blond had come down the stairs fully dressed, and ready to go.
“I'm going to meet with Italy.” He'd said, and before he'd left, he added a little, “Do not destroy anything or let France and Spain in while I'm gone.”
And then he was off. Leaving the house to Prussia for the day. Normally, he would have just gone back downstairs to play on the computer or would lounge in the living room for the whole day, enjoying having the big TV to himself instead of having to fight for it. But today, he was feeling particularly bored, and spent the first half of the day going through Ludwig's office, reading over things he probably shouldn't, but felt he needed to know, and being generally invasive .It wasn't like West didn't do it to him as well. Prussia knew when his things were moved, and he knew that it wasn't uncommon for Germany to ask people what Prussia'd been up to. It was only fair he return the favour.
He'd been about to give up on finding anything particularly juicy on his brother, and just go over to Austria's house, when the doorbell rang, and the dogs went insane like they always did. He had to shush them several times before they calmed down enough for him to push them away from the door. Flinging it open without checking to see who it was first, a big grin on his face, and his mind already going through all ways he could annoy Roderich and probably Elizaveta, as his eyes finally landed on the woman standing outside.
He just barely recognized her. Prussia spent most of his time in his own little corner of the world, the only time he ventured out was to visit Canada or possibly Japan. He knew she was a nation, but her name slipped his mind, it had been so long since he'd been to a world meeting himself, it seemed he was always forgetting people now. “Guten Tag, Fraulin.”
He added a bit of a leer into his expression and voice, just for the hell of it. It struck him after he said it that she could be volatile like Hungary and hit him, but what little he could remember of her told him she wasn't. Her name, he didn't know, but he got the impression she wasn't violent, and would probably just get annoyed and brush him off.

| When the door flew open so suddenly, Sati was sent reeling back to reality and her eyes widened. She tensed upon hearing the dogs bark, and further upon the tone of voice that followed the appearance of the palest Westerner she had ever seen. His eyes were red like the ruby on her forehead, and he had the grin of Kali, the goddess of death. Was this some sort of demon?
Better be nice to him....
"Namaste' I am Sati, the nation of India. I was wondering if Germany was home?" she inquired.
While her tone was straight and even, on the inside she felt somewhat terrified by this man/demon/whatever he was. Her posture was still rigid and fear crept into the corners of her blue eyes. What was this creature doing inside Ludwig's home? Was he haunting the place and she had chosen the wrong time to show up?
She decided to investigate this further.
"And what might your name be?"

| Ah, India. One of England's old Colonies, he'd heard the brit complain about him once or twice while they were out drinking, and Germany had probably brought the woman up a few times as well. Prussia didn't pay much attention to his brother's choice in friends anymore. He got along well enough with the ones that always seemed to bein the house, and that was good enough for Prussia.
He leaned against the doorframe lazily, his grin settling into something less dark, and more cocky. It was rather surprising to him, to hear that someone didn't know who he was, yet they were a nation. He rarely counted on humans to know who he was anymore, but as a nation, it seemed somehow wrong that she didn't know. Especially if she was aquainted with his brother.
"Gilbert, I'm the Kingdom of Prussia." He stated grandly with a wave of his hand, as he pushed away from the door frame. It felt like a move that even France would be proud of. "West isn't here, he's off trying to get into North Italy's pants, but you're more then welcome to wait for him if you want."
This could be fun. A lot more fun the going to bother Austria again. Hell, more fun then annoying Switzerland by flirting with cute little Liechtenstein.

| Aha! So he wasn't a demon! That was a relief.
Sati relaxed considerably and her fear vanished. Her thoughts raced to recall the kingdom of Prussia. She remembered China mentioning him to her during the Dark Ages...
A light bulb went off inside her head.
"Ah! The kingdom of Prussia! Forgive me for not recognizing you. Western Politics can get so confusing! You were that mighty military empire in the last century! I remember hearing about you from the others that you warred against. You were a proud empire with proud soldiers. During that time I was a bit warlike myself until the early 1900's." she beamed, her smile simply radiant.
Even though Sati herself did not condone violence anymore she could respect and understand the need for a strong military. And if other countries excelled at being military nations then all the better for them. She knew that in the western world, no one ever did or since command the presence of Prussia. the Germans came close, but they did not command the fear and respect Prussia once had.
Even though she still had a country, she was not as glorious as she once had been. And to an extent she felt that perhaps Prussia felt the same, having lost his home and then watching his brother rule his lands. It must be hard for him. And yet here he was, standing in front of her proudly. Inwardly she felt a swell of admiration for the former empire.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Gilbert! I'd love to come in and wait for Germany! You must tell me more about yourself!"

| He couldn't help but be rather surprised by her sudden switch in personality. He'd been expecting her react like everyone else, annoyed at his antics, rolling eyes, and brushing him off. It was a nice change, he had to admit, but it did throw him off a bit. Even so, he didn't let it show on his face. He was too awesome to be so easily shocked, after all. So he kept his grin, and moved out of the way, giving her entrance to the house.
“Gut to know my name has made it so far.” He motioned for her to come inside. He didn't think she'd want to hear that the only times he'd heard of her were from England and Japan, so he left that out for the moment. Why look a gift horse in the mouth? If she wanted to know about his awesome self, then he was more then happy to supply the information. As long as it wasn't too personal.
“Come on in, and make yourself at home. Do ignore the mess, West is a bit sloppy.” He wondered if Germany would resent him for blaming the slightly more sloppy living room on him, but it didn't much matter. At least he hadn't gone into the kitchen to cook anything again. He was almost certain he was still banned from that room to do anything other then use the microwave or get something to drink from the fridge.

| Sati entered the house and indeed did see the mess. The Prussian had claimed it was Ludwig's fault, but Sati knew the man and he wasn't sloppy. She said nothing and began cleaning the living room without thinking about it. The man had always been so kind to her. She hummed to herself slightly, picking up dishes and moving to place them in the kitchen sink.
"Are you hungry? Ludwig taught me how to make some western foods." she called over her shoulder as she washed the dishes. Sati knew that if he was he'd probably want some form of meat. Shiva forgive her for cooking it, but she was a guest after all and she felt the need to return Prussia's hospitality. She paused for a moment to return to the door and slip off her sandals beside it. Since she forgot to take them off, she'd have to clean the floor then, too. Sati wondered to herself if the German had one of those Swiffer things? They looked so nice and they were much easier to use than scrubbing the floors by hand. Not that she was opposed to doing it by hand of course.
"I'm sorry I made a mess of your floor. I'll clean it after I am done with the dishes." she said as she picked up trash around the room and walked to the kitchen to throw it away.

| He couldn't help but stare as she walked right in and began to clean the mess he'd made. It was amusing, but a bit annoying too. He'd left the mess for a very specific reason, and now he would have to do it all over again. Not that it was hard, it was just a tad be annoying.
He followed her into the living room, then the kitchen, watching. She made him think of Japan a bit. The Japanese nation was always underfoot with a broom or something similar cleaning this or that.
He wasn't hungry much. He wasn't allowed to cook according to West, but he could still get food for himself. Watching her closely, he arched a brow, “You don't have to clean you know.”
She'd even gone so far as to go back to the door to take her shoes off. It made no sense, Gilbert was standing not five feet from where the woman was picking up some random bit of trash, still where his worn out boots, dried mud leaving flakes behind with every heavy step he took. “West'll clean it all when he gets back. Und I'm not hungry.”

| "But I must return your generous hospitality! It would be rude of me not to, unless you wanted me to stop." she replied, musing to herself for a moment. She had been told by her daughter that Westerners didn't always appreciate the same forms of hospitality that her people did. And Sati began to worry, thinking she'd offended the man.
She finished what she was doing and sat down on the couch, feeling guilty. "I apologize if I offended you. I was only trying to be grateful." she said dejectedly, the little bells on her ankles and wrists chiming as she got comfortable.
"I tend to forget how different Westerners are."

| And she was just as polite as Japan too. He wondered if the attitude was inherent to everyone in Asia. China had never struck him as quite so polite, but then, the only time he'd really spent with Yao was while he was with Russia and he would visit. Maybe Lithuania was a better example? There were similarities, though they ended with India being obviously put down, versus Lithuania fear at being corrected.
Wandering over to one of the plush chairs, Prussia flopped down on it, sitting sideways, so his legs hung over one armrest and his back was against the other. Snorting, he crossed his arms, “Don't apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. Just weird. You and Japan are way to alike.”
He paused, the shrugged. If she'd been someone he'd known, possibly someone he'd liked, he would have been more polite. It had been a long time since Prussia had had to play politics and be nice to people without any reason he could see. She wouldn't be the first person he would behave politely towards now. “So, what business do you have with mein Bruder?”

| Sati distracted herself with her tiny little bells on her wrists. "Kiku and I are similar in that way, but my people are more direct. I never understood why someone cannot be forward with their intentions. It is much less frustrating that way." she added, shaking the bracelets on her wrist to make it chime happily. The little bells caught the light from a nearby lamp, making it sparkle with a golden shine.
She was reclining on the couch, adorned in a blue and gold sari this time around. Her ankle bracelets chimed as she adjusted her feet to rest against the opposing arm. Sati herself was not a tiny woman, but she was average in terms of height. Elaborate henna patterns snaked around her wrists and ankles, winding down her fingertips and toes. There were designs as well on her palms that reminded an observer of ornate lattice work, and this continuity was carried over into a design around her pierced navel. Her nails and toes were painted white this time, with a tiny rhinestone in the center of every fingernail. Her long black hair was down, covered in a veil that was a part of her sari.
She glanced over thoughtfully upon Prussia's query. "I was in the area actually, on my way back home from France visiting a friend of mine. I thought I could visit with him. It's been awhile." She smiled as she mentioned her trip to France, thinking of the cute little tan girl she had become acquainted with from the beautiful island nation.
Sati tilted her head to the side for a moment. "Your...German sounds different than Ludwig's..." she mused out loud.
