So many of those things, so fucking many of them, and there were more and more emerging. The man could not comprehend at first glance what he was seeing. Humans reanimating from the dead, then feasting upon the flesh of the living like ravenous wolves. At the time of the outbreak it was an early morning in Istanbul, and Sadiq had been at the Mosque as he always was. That bright, sunny, and seemingly peaceful morning where the sky was a pleasant hue of blue. The kind of start to a day where you either believed nothing wrong could happen, or you inwardly knew that there was something noticeably askew. When the man had exited the Mosque to go enjoy a cup of coffee is when it all began. At first it was screams, and Sadiq had thought there had been an attack somewhere in the city. That was until he noticed them all around like wild animals, and saw how quickly they created others like them. The older Nation had never been the type to needlessly panic over seemingly impossible situations. Yet, at this moment while he ran through the crowded and chaotic streets he felt it. An anxiety, a cold chilling tingle creeping through his body that made his stomach do flips. The feeling was like having cold sweat run over you without actually sweating. For perhaps only the third time in his entire existence the man was starting to panic, and bad.

No! This was not the time to lose his head now! He had to keep running, pushing past everyone, and not even stop for the person begging for help. Right now he knew that the safest option was to just make it away from the center of the city. If stayed behind he risked getting bit, and he had no idea what that meant for him as a Nation but, he was not willing to stay and find out either. One those zombies suddenly lunged out from behind a parked car, and went right for his arm. The man's eyes grew wide as he suddenly moved backwards barely moving out of the way in time. For a moment he stood there stunned looking at it as it turned around to face him. The skin of the person was turned an ashen color, and the man's faced and arm appeared to be half eaten off. Sadiq grimaced and looked around before finally darting off to his left without looking back. There was no way in any level of hell he would let them get to him. Even if he had to leave behind precious citizens of his who reached out to him. Would he be able to get to his home so he could get his firearms? That was probably the most important notion right now to have. Without a single misstep Sadiq began to navigate the large city, and headed down little know side streets and shortcuts. Along the way he ran into a few of those misshapen horror creatures but, for the most part he tried to pick less populated routes.

Finally all his running, hiding, and caution paid off as he came to a jog up to his home. The rather stately establishment sat near the outskirts of the city. His home was mostly cut off from the bustle of the city, and so he did not see any of those around. Reaching into his jacket pocket Sadiq pulled out the keys for his front gate, and unlocked it before going into his yard. Closing the gate behind him he locked it again, and then walked up the stone path to his front door. Upon entering his home the man went straight down the hall to his left towards a doorway. This room could only be opened with a number pad, and there was a very good reason for that. As he entered the code the light turned green on the pad, and he opened the door with a faint click. Stepping inside Turkey flipped a switch and the overhead light illuminated the room instantly. He approached his wall which had many different firearms on it. His brown eyes glanced from gun to gun, and he examined each one carefully. All of them would be useful but, he needed to think about what would be more practical to bring along. Nothing too heavy or he would weigh himself down, and then what good would he be to anyone then? Deliberating to himself the various possibilities of what gun would be most useful he had finally come to a decision.

A Mehmetcik Assault Rifle.
A Micro Desert Eagle, small enough to fit in your palm practically but, packed a punch.
A military grade munitions bag filled with ammo, two canteens for water, a woolen blanket, combat knife, a can opener, and a compass.

Basically he had everything he needed for a small battle in short. Though, the man was glad he still kept a hold of his military backpack. That thing was used by soldiers all over the world to carry a myriad of different things. The size of it was important as it was able to fit more than an average messenger bag but, was not so large that it became a nuisance to cart around. Gathering everything he needed, including one extra change of clothes Sadiq left the room. He made the decision not to re-lock the door to the weapons room however, and went down to his kitchen. On the wall by his counter he saw his phone flashing to indicate a message had been left. Picking it up off the receiver Sadiq scrolled through the names to see who called. Just a couple friends of his from the city, dead friends now probably. Frowning he placed the phone back in its cradle, and then took the canteens out filling them both with water. While he stood there his face shown with quiet contemplation over the transpiring events. All of this hell was breaking loose around him, and he was wondering if there would be a cure for the walking dead. Capping the tops back on he placed the canteens into his bag, and went and put a few canned food items in his bag. That was everything that he needed but, the man left his bag by the kitchen counter for a moment. Walking out he went down the hall looking at all the antiques on the wall, hanging pictures, and to his living room where he had a blend of old and new.

All of his most precious possessions.

The man frowned a little before going out and up the stairs to his bedroom. He opened the last drawer on his black, and ornate dresser pulling out a stack of papers. With a neutral expression on his face the man started looking at everything he pulled out. Old documents, letters, drawings, and a letter he had received from Israel a long time ago when they got along more. Then there was a rather good sketch of a teenage Greece sitting out in the back garden. A small smile fell over his lips before he rolled the papers up, and found a band to hold them together with. Maybe there was room for just one more thing in his bag. Taking one last look around his room Sadiq finally forced himself to leave. Going downstairs he gently placed the papers within his munitions bag, and then looked around his house in a silent goodbye. Finally he had the want to actually leave the premise, and walked out of his home going down the path to the gate. Taking the keys out he unlocked it and stepped out onto the country road. The man did not even bother to lock everything back up behind him again, no. To Sadiq he felt that if some group of people needed a safe house then his home was open to them, and that is also why he left his gun room unlocked for them.

"Well, got a long road ahead of me." He muttered to himself looking ahead.
