Name: Christof Beilschmidt

Position in the Mafia: Personal Bodyguard to the Don

Mafia Branch: European

History: Christof is a very soft spoken man, usualy only speaking two or three words to something if the need rises. He enjoys being quiet, but doesn't like awkward silences. A good book will keep him entertained for a long, and he gets headaches very easily.

Christof grew up in a small town but said town was burnt to the ground when he was only eight. He and his mother moved to a larger town, somewhere located in Italy, where he was taken in as a apprentice/heir to the bodyguard industry. He learned how to also fight with the swords and use miscellaneous guns properly.

His teacher died later on, and he was given ownership of the bodyguard industry. When he was seventeen, a group of police mistook his mother for a wanted woman and, upon seeing her, shot her in front of his eyes.

He had sworn to never trust police from that moment on.

Of course, he was paid for the troubles, but it still didn't take away the hurt. He lived alone for a few more years till he met a man. A very powerful man who needed a bodyguard. Seeing this as a oppurtunity, Christof took it.

Secretly, he loves the man, but knows he can't have him because, well, he has a son. Also, Christof would probably be shot dead before he could even confess to the man.

Relations:

The Don: His loyal bodyguard, willing to do anything for the man.

No other known relations, he doesn't talk to people all too much.

Name: Toris Laurinaitis

Status in the police: Inspector/Commander

History: Growing up with his mother and father, Toris didn't enjoy his childhood all too much. His father was constantly sick and his mother took care of not only him, but her husband, too.

She cleaned, cooked, worked, and basically tried to be Super Mother. Toris loved her, it was heart breaking to watch her cry so hard after his father passed.

After the passing of his father, Toris continued to school, helping his mother out anytime he could. It was sad actually.. Soon after he went into his third year of college, Toris got a call from the hospital saying that his mother was going to pass very soon.

He arrived at the hospital, spent the last few days with his mother, and then she passed.. He found out that it was from a beating she had received when she was mugged on her way home.

From that day, he finally had the drive to enter the police force and become an inspector. He worked hard, very hard actually, and graduated before his class. Then, working is way up, he became a detective.

Relations: Currently, Toris has no known relations with anyone.

Name: Alfred F. Jones
Status in the police: Detective – Special Investigations
History: Alfred was born in Washington DC, and this fact has given him a rather patriotic sense of right and wrong. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he and his mother moved around a lot, staying with family while she tried to put their lives together after Alfred's father died. Alfred has actually lived in each of the States, and has always been very proud to be an American. He's always been close to his family, his mother being someone he looked up to greatly, knowing how hard it was for her to handle the lost of his father, and the fact that she wasn't able to provide for him on her own.

When he graduated from High School- no easy feat when you've gone to so many of such a short amount of time- he went decided he wanted to be a Police Officer.

His family had a long line of Officers, his own father having been on. He's had a family member in each of the wars the United States has fought in, and had even thought of becoming a solider instead, to go fight in Iraq. Instead, he found himself going to the police academy, and working his way through the ranks until he reached the right to be a Detective.

The title is a source of great pleasure for Alfred, making him think of all those great detective movies, mystery novels, and even comic books. He worked with the NYPD for a year or two before he was transferred to the United Kingdom, and made to work with Arthur Kirkland. His first impression of the man was not pleasant, and it took a while for him to get used Arthur, though by now he's grown to work well with him. Though Alfred does love to tease him, and poke and prod at him.

Alfred isn't very fond of living in Italy, where he and Arthur are now stationed, and spends a lot of his time wishing that he could be back in the States. He keeps in close contact with his family when he can, his job making that rather hard, but he manages. A good chunk of his paycheck going to an account for his mother, who's been staying with his aunt in Kentucky.

Relations:

Arthur Kirkland - Alfred wasn't very fond of Arthur when they first met. He thought he was too strict, old fashioned, and kinda stiff. Over time. He's found that all to be very true, but has grown rather attached to the Brit, taking all the things he'd thought of as 'bad' before, and finding he rather likes those qualities in Arthur. Though he doesn't mind teasing Arthur every now and again, he's rather protective of the Brit, and doesn't take well to people giving him trouble.
Peter Kirkland – His partner's younger brother, Alfred likes him, and gets along with him well enough.

Name: Sati Chandra Sivayama

Position in the Mafia: Rome's whor- I mean housekeeper

Mafia Branch: European

History:

Born in New Delhi, Sati grew up as one of the Brahmins (upper caste.) She dreamed of being a housewife to an attractive European man, so she moved to Italy and began to look. However, dreams don't always come true and she ended up as Marcus' housekeeper. Not that she can complain. The benefits of keeping her mouth shut are great as well as the bonuses from her boss ;)

She acts like she sees nothing that goes on in Marcus' house and plays ignorant if questioned by authorities. Inside she longs to become something more than a housekeeper, but she has decided to bide her time for now. But we don't believe in rumors, do we?

The Don: Her boss and sometimes midnight companion ;D

Germania: Secretly jealous of the other man and sees him as a rival for Marcus' affections.

Name: Ivan "the Breaker" Braginski

Position in the Mafia: Don

Mafia Branch: (Asian, European, or Latin): Europe, Russian

History (describing how they came to be in the Mafia): Ivan was quite a rare case for a don. He started as a drug runner as a child and when he was old enough began his bloody march to power, even offing his own father in the process. He earned his nickname, 'the Breaker' when he received his promotion to hit man for his fondness of beating his targets in with a lead pipe. Overtime he earned the previous Don's trust enough to be promoted second in command. This proved to be a mistake because sometime later the previous Don died in a mysterious accident. Now in power, Ivan rules the Russian Mafia with an iron fist and a heart of stone. He sees the Italians as rivals, and plans to show them the finer points of the phrase 'silent as the grave.'

Relations (to other characters, be they cop or mafiosi):

Marcus: He is amused by Marcus but sees him as a threat nonetheless. He looks for every opportunity he can to undermine the Italian Family.

Name: Sadiq Merdin Adnan
Position in the Mafia: Handles external affairs (i.e making sure people keep their mouths shut, making deals, etc) and guns expert.
History (describing how they came to be in the Mafia): Sadiq didn't have some sob story of being alone since a child or getting kicked out of his home either. This thirty-six year old man spent a good portion of the first half of his life content, in a good place, and completely satisfied with his life...almost. See, he got almost anything he wanted some restrictions applied but by the time he hit Sophomore year of high school he was thirsting for more. At the time the boy wanted another outlet for his energy, and for his love of a good adrenaline kick. Scoping out the area from the start he kept his eyes on the workings of the criminal underground wanting to be a part of that sort of society. It wasn't glamorous and it sure as hell wasn't anything his parents would approve of but, he didn't care.

So what is a bored young man to do?

Easy, once he graduated high school he struck it off on his own telling his parents he was going to heading in college soon. Once the smoke and mirrors were up to fool them he began delving into the criminal underworld. It was a tough descent but he was able to prove he had enough worth to be useful to them. The man's natural ability to talk to people in such an easy-going manner became an asset to his bosses at the time, and his interest and knowledge of firearms also proved useful in the long run.

For the better part of eighteen years he has moved up in the ranks, found a comfortable position, and hasn't had a reason to be bored since. Recently however he has been searching for a few crooked cops to make deals with; never an easy task but always fun.

Relations (to other characters, be they cop or mafiosi): For being so personable he does not have many friends within the mafisoi or the cop arena.

Name: Tim De Boer
Position in the Mafia: Drug dealer undercover mafioso
Mafia Branch: European.
History: Tim has grown up in a family who liked justice. Being the rebellious type he didn't want anything to do with it. He had one time met with a drug dealing mafia member and found that this seemed his thing. He worked hard and at age twenty he was a drug dealer himself and he was undercover in the police force. Now he keeps an eye on what the cops do.
Relations: He gets along well with most people though tends to be more fierce towards a certain Spaniard. He doesn't know why but he just doesn't like the man.

Name: Gupta Muhammad Hassan
Position in the Mafia: Son of Egypt's Mafia Boss
Mafia Branch: European
History: Gupta is the son of Cairo's crimelord, a woman known throughout Africa and much of europe. He has been taught to run the business for when his mother passes, and has been working as a figurehead for the business since he was fifteen. Because of the responsbilities placed on him, Gupta is very mature for his age and often seems to know how to handle the most volatile of people.

His mother deals with antiquity theft, human trafficking, arms dealing, and drugs; all of these Gupta has had at least a minimal amount of experiance with. As of late, he's been meeting and working with business partners from out of the country. Due to a bit of trouble in Cairo, Gupta's mother has sent him to stay with the Vargas family in Italy. Gupta has known them since he was young, but is not particularly interested in them, knowing this is just a temporary fix until his mother deems it safe for him to return to Cairo.

Relations:

- Lovino Vargas; Gupta has known Lovino fairly long, though until he was sent to stay with the Vargas family for his own safety, they did not interact much. If anyone had asked him how he felt about the Italian, he would have called Lovino childish, and rash- he still would now. Their relationship is tentative, and new, romantic but still hesitant. It's an interesting development.

- Marcus; Gupta's intial oppinon of Marcus was of a lecherous man who was pining for his mother. Not much has changed. He respects Marcus for being able to run his business, but is generally less inclined to feel much else but general distaste and curiousity towards the man.

Name: Valentina Ramirez

Position in the Mafia: Drug and weapons negotiator.

Mafia Branch: Latin

History: Born in a small town in Colombia, Valentina group up with a strong family bond. Each member of her family had a hand in the Mafia in some way, shape, and form. Either it being in the actual Mafia, or just being someone to drip information from the police to the Mafia.

As she grew up, her family began to show her the ways of being affiliated with the Mafia, whether it being in it, or just being married to someone. Her father had wanted for a boy, and she had been the only child to actually survive, so he loved her in his own special way. She knew of this, and when she was old enough, she started making connections of her own. Quickly getting on board with the Latin branch of the Mafia, she showed her father that she was as good as any son he could have hoped for.

The authorities always believed her, since she had such a pretty face, and the next thing she knew, she was being shipped to Italy to make the drug deals much easier. She liked her job, she really did, and she enjoyed the respect and trust her leader had given her. Valentina quickly made drug deals after learning the cops ways around there, knowing where to go, and where not to go. Soon enough, she was being sent money to buy a nice house in Italy so that she could live comfortably.

Now, she didn't actually give the drugs anymore, she just made the deals and called it in, always regulating the drug flow. Loving her looks, she became somewhat of a seductress, seducing the cops with just one look to make them believe anything she said. It was so easy, these Italian men were quite stupid.

Soon, she got another call, telling her that she had gained yet another job, meaning another rank. Weapons. Oh, how she loved to watch them assemble the weapons, watching the drop off, the pick up, the exchange. It was like drugs, but more dangerous because it wasn't as easy to hide weapons. Valentina got to meet new people, too, and now she hoped she would be able to meet the Italian mafia leader, maybe even some other European ones.. This would be an interesting life.

Relations:As of now, she has no serious relations outside of her family and closed knit circle of friends back home.
