| Germania waited for an attack. A hit, something. He braced himself, his muscles tensing up. The blow never came though, well, not in the form he expected. Of course he knew what war was, he wasn't born yesterday, and did he go at war with the Roman Empire? Or did the other declare war on his lands in order to feed his undieing thirst for more land and power? Maybe.
What really shocked him though was when Rome stood back, releasing him. He stayed against the wall, not trusting the other, before opening his mouth to say something. He closed it again, wondering what kind of mind game this was, before moving away from him. He 'accidentally' tripped, stumbling to the floor. And he just so happened to have been in front of the knife. Not that graceful, no, definately not, but at the moment he was pissed. Darting up with the knife in hand, Germania aimed a blow at the other, anger burning in his blue eyes. The knife pierced the other's olive toned skin, going deep into Roma's bicep. Germania twisted the knife, making sure that it got in deep, before pulling it out.
"Never let an enemy go." Germania growled before making a run to the window, intent on leaving.

| The feeling of the knife driving into Rome's arm sent a burning pain through the man. He grit his teeth backing up practically stumbling over onto the floor. Amber eyes looked at Germania with anger, and the Emperor started to make pursuit for Germania. Reaching out he grabbed a fistful of the blonde's hair, and yanked the man back violently but never letting him drop. "Son of a bitch, how dare you after I was going to let you go." The man felt insulted as his kindness he felt was insulted by the other. Without remorse for his coming actions the man ignored the pain in his arm, and the blood dripping from the wound so he could unleash his anger upon the other Empire.
"You vile, filthy barbarian!! How dare you attack me after I was willing to let you go!" Rome growled practically and grabbed the other by the throat. Dragging him to the wall he wrestled and fought with the other, trying to slam his head into the stone wall over and over.

| Germania let out a yelp of pain as his hair was pulled. He felt himself giving away to the other as Roma pulled with brute strength. He groaned, looking up at him, before reaching up to cut at Roma's face. He missed, but by just a bit, and almost dropped the knife when he was brought up.
He kicked and scratched at the other, wrestling with him, before feeling his head connect with the wall. He saw black for a split second before his head lolled forward, only to be smashed against the wall again. Germania let out a groan of pain, seeing a bit of red, before stabbing the other's arm again. Pushing at Rome, he wrestled him to the ground, intent on sinking his blade into the other's stomach. As they tussled, his wrist bent awkwardly, and before he knew it, the knife was lodged in his own leg. At first, he didn't feel it because of the sudden pain in his wrist, but then a firey pain shot across his body. The fighting that was going on didn't seem to help either. Damn, it hurt!

| Not even an arrogant grin formed across Rome's lips as he assaulted Germania, and slammed his head into the wall one more time. By this time he was unsure if he could even feel any pain anymore, and even when that knife was drive into him again he only grunted. Finally he let go of Germania once the man relented for the moment, and rolled over on his side. Seeing that Germania had stabbed himself unwillingly he sat up on his hands and knees. "Idiot, you are an idiot." Rome seethed between clenched teeth. Some blood dripped on the floor from his wounds, and he was sweating. By this time he was wondering why the guards had not come running on inside to see what all the commotion was about. Never mind that though he was none too angered about them not showing up. After all as a decorated General and Emperor he should be able to defend himself.
Like a predator on the prowl he suddenly pounced on Germania, and then punched him square in the nose. Straddling the other man he started to swing his fists wildly, and yet always keeping eye to make sure the knife did not go flying at him. Oh but then an idea ran through his mind, and one of which he was quite proud to think of so swiftly. Reaching back he took his fingers and jammed two into the knife wound.

| Germania growled at Rome's comment, yanking the knife out of his leg. He pressed on his wound, trying to stop the blood flow, and didn't see the oncoming attack. He grunted when the other pounced on him, the knife he had sliding out of his hands before it skidded on the floor, landing a few meters away. Germania tried to block himself as the other hit him, feeling blood running down his face, before landing his own punch on the others jaw.
Gasping, he gripped Rome's shoulder as the Empire shoved two fingers into his wound. He bit his lip from the pain, glaring up at the other. Two could play at that game. He gripped Rome's bicep before diging his thumb into the other's wound that had slowly been healing. He jammed his forefinger in as well before scissoring the two, the pain in his leg sort of numbing and turning into a dull ache. That is, until the other would move.

| Excruciating pain was possibly the only word he had to describe what he felt. The man tried his best not to show that he was in too much pain, but he practically growled through clenched teeth before pulling away. Sitting back and panting his eyes stayed on Germania, and he brought a hand up over his aching wound. Damn, that hurt a lot more than he had anticipated it would. Finally shaking off the dull thudding of pain Marcus got onto his feet glaring down at Germania. Lust and anger, two emotions that he was fairly certain were not allowed to mix as volatile as they were. Before dawn he was most sure that if they continued like this one, or both of them would probably be dead.
"If you get out now ..." Rome started to say with his voice stern, "I can allow you to live." The blonde haired man had proved to the Emperor what he could do. No matter how much it pissed him off it was also equally as impressive. So for now he figured they could call it two for two and be on their merry little way.

| Germania glared at the other! Slowly getting up. He kept in a sort of crouched form as he moved back! Towards the door! Never turning his back on Rome. He licked his lips and stepped out the door before turning and running to his room. He barricaded his door shut and looked at his wounds.
He grabbed a cloth and wet it with warm water before washing his wounds. Groaning a bit. If only he had a knife and fire, possibly some alcohol, then he could definately treat his wounds. Sighing, the blond dressed his wounds before laying back on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

| Satisfied with this temporary overnight truce Rome sat back looking at his injuries. The man fought like an animal, but it was this fierce fighting spirit that attracted Marcus. In such a way he believed there would be nothing better than to fight Germania and nothing else. Calling for the guards the brunette man had them fetch the royal physician to treat his wounds. All the while his servants hurriedly worked to restore the room to some sense of order. What with objects strewn about it had appeared as if some sort of miniature war occurred here. Tomorrow perhaps he would call on Germania again for another brawl? Maybe even enlist the man to fight in the Colosseum with other Gladiators? Such a duty would be perfect for the common barbarian from the north he presumed.
Now, when he himself had taken a shine to fighting with the Gladiators it shocked the people. Was there Emperor truly setting foot in a place sanctioned only for the bloodthirsty brutes of society? Common men, slaves, and prisoners of war who were there trying to fight for their freedom? Marcus reveled in the sheer delight of swinging the sword, hearing the clash of metal, and watching his foes collapse bleeding around him.
Enough about that though he had sleep he would need for tomorrow. So after his wounds were properly treated and dressed the man laid down to sleep.

| Waking up was a chore for the blonde haired man, he didn't want to, nor did his body. He had to though, and that was the problem, the sun shining on his face wouldn't let him sleep and it hurt to much to roll over. As he sat up, he noticed that his wounds were somewhat healed, much better than what he went to bed with, but they were still bad. He hoped that that.. Unruly Roman was hurting too, no doubt he was, but Germania wished that he hurt ten times more than what he really felt, damn Roman.
Swinging his legs over the bed slowly, Christof pushed himself off the bed and went over to the water bowl and cloth that were laying out for him. Taking the washcloth, he soaked it in water and started to hand wash himself, tending especially to the wounds. As he licked his lips, he started to plot a way to kill the other. Seducing would probably work, give him a sense of security, since the other plan didn't work. When he was finally clean, the German male got up and changed his clothes, opting for a different attire than he was used to. Okay, so the Roman 'dress' was comfortable, he still liked his clothes better though. But hese were.. Nice to lounge in, he guessed that's what Italians are good for only.

| The morning brought aches and pains to Rome that only men in war suffered. When he flexed his arms or legs the gashes under the bandages moved. The slight parting of the healing skin caused discomfort, but it was nothing the man could not get through. That Germanic man was a barbaric one, cunning too with a good sense of fighting. Such prowess was definitely something in which the man found to be enticing, and perhaps even a little infuriating. The two appeared to be evenly matched no matter what they did, and while the fight was exciting it was bothersome neither could lay a finishing blow. Idly though the Roman inquired in his mind where would the fun be if Germania were dead? After all there were other things of which he could do with the blonde to entertain himself. After all Marcus was a man of desires and those of the flesh were more than tempting for him.
Beckoning for his servants the dark haired Roman had them wash and redress his wounds. Standing up after a moment he allowed them to bring his robes, and tell him the news for the morning. Taxes, meetings, prisoners to pardon or kill, and barbarians on the Northern front setting fires to townships....lovely. Just another day in the life of a typical Roman in this era.

| Staring out the rectangular hole in the wall, the blonde tapped his cheek, thinking. He was so curious as to how this place even survived with such an incompetent ruler? He hadn't the slightest idea. Shaking his head, he waed over to the opening and leaned against the stone railing, fingers idly tracing the designs, and looked down onto the scene. He took in that dreaded sun that woke him up, a few birds flying here and there.. He guessed it was pretty, but not beautiful like his home. A deep frown slowly formed on his face as he thought of his people and how he was going to get free..
Deciding that he wouldn't stop until he was free, and that bastard Roman was dead, Germania pushed away from the railing and limped out of his room. His leg hurt dreadfully so, the wound in it aching with each step. Although he was glad that he had treated it carefully and it was healing, it still hurt to no end. Christof's face took on that of a stoic look, nodding curtly to each that he passed. He didn't like it, no, and he was sure that they had seen what had happened yesterday in the gardens, but that was then, and he just needed to act like nothing had happened.. Oh, he couldn't wait to squeeze the life out of that dirty Roman.
But first, he needed his trust.
