General Rules Post~!

1.) Rules of common courtesy apply here. 
Just because it's the internet doesn't give you the excuse to be rude, mean, condensing, or untoward to. Any and all violations of this rule will be taken extremely seriously. Repeat offenders will find their accounts deleted.

2.) Try to be literate. 
The occasional spelling mistake or grammar error is unavoidable and totally acceptable. But, if you happen to type in text-talk (leik dis 4 da hol thing.) or cannot speak fluent English, this probably isn't the forum for you.

3.) Keep it realistic. 
Crack is bound to happen. It is Hetalia, after all. But if a certain event or pairing could never logically happen, please don't do it. 

4.) Keep it neutral in the CB. 
There are all sorts of people in the world. Try to be considerate and understanding. Insults towards religions, races, genders, sexuality, or anything of the sort will not be tolerated and will result in the removal of your account.

5.) We maintain a 5 character limit. 
For each additional character, you get a four week trial period. During this time, you need to prove you can handle your new character alongside your old ones.
Out of your five characters, at least one must be an OC. You can mix and match, have as many of the five as Ocs as you want, but one of them absolutely must be an OC.

6.) No God Modding. 
This should already be pretty obvious, but it ticks people off if you do this. If you punch someone, don't expect it to automatically hit. But also don't make it so your character never gets hit. This just saves a lot of people from getting ticked.

7.) Keep up with the posts. 
It's not really a rule, but if an RP changes or the rules/applications change, you need to keep up so you're not out of the loop. If you're going to be gone for an extended amount of time, let one of the Administrators know so we don't delete you. 

8.) Stay active. 
If you are not present at the RP for more than a week straight without posting or appearing in the CB, your account automatically becomes subject for deletion. If you're going on hiatus/taking a break, or if something's happening, drop a post in the Going Away thread, and let us know.
Note: Activity checks will be done every two weeks. In the course of this time, your characters need to post somewhere on the forum.

9) All Characters Must Be Active On the Forums
This means that if you have a character, and all you've used them for is the CB, you need to get them into an event. The Chatbox no longer counts for being active, you must post on the Forum to be considered as an active member. This also means that just because you use one character, the other characters you have are not safe. 
Note: Even though being active is great, guys, try and let others have the time to react to what you post too. If you're itching to post, and someone else hasn't gotten a turn yet, why not sign up on another event or do a private RP? You will not be deleted because you have nowhere to post.

10) You must be over 17 years of age.
Due to the content of the site, and passed problems with members under the age of 17, we've decided this is one of the best courses of action. If you sign up and lie, and we find out, your account will be deleted without warning.
Note: Those that signed up on the site before 29/05/11 are exempt from this rule.

11) When signing up, you need to post an RP sample with the character you want, or a OC Application if your character is new. There is a selection of RP starters written up, and you can use one of them to respond to, if you feel you need one.



Note: Failure to read the rules will result in a strike.

Play it like baseball, people, three strikes and you're out.

One Strike: Warning.
Two Strikes: Warning, and banned from the CB.
Three Strikes: Account Deleted.

Chatbox Rules

1) Anything posted as OOC needs to be posted in brackets or parentheses,

2) In Character posts are to be made without brackets of parentheses or brackets.

3) Keep the drama to a minimum. The chatbox is for light-hearted fun, anything that gets to rough or dark needs to be taken out of the chatbox and handled elsewhere, such as AIM or PM, even a Private RP.

4) Dashes and * are used to signify actions.
5) If you have a problem with something that's being done on the site, contact an admin or moderator, do not start something in the Chat Box.

6) Be POLITE. This is a space that everyone on the site uses. It's for all of us, so while you're there, try to be nice.

7) Listen to the Chat Admin, and Moderators. They are the bosses, so pay attention. They're pretty laid back, but if you give them trouble you may be banned from the Chatbox.

8) Anything over PG-13 needs to have the okay from everyone on the Chatbox. If even a single person voices a problem with what's going on, no matter what it is, it needs to be taken somewhere else.
