| Located on the seventh floor of the tower and concealed behind the portrait of The Fat Lady (password needed for entry), the Gryffindor common room is a splash of red and gold and provides all the basic comforts to make the place feel more like home. | |

| Hei was trying to keep himself in check. His face seemed as impassive as it normally was, and he wasn't moving in a rigid, stomping sort of manner that would imply anger. All looked good really. But anyone that had any knowledge of his mannerisms could probably tell that he, was pissed. The anger pulsed within him and forced him forward, because if he stopped moving he'd likely want to hurt something. Probably Gilbert - which might do the other good - but still, hurt something. Thats really what he wanted to do, and with every foot fall he kept himself from doing just that. He concentrated on each step, trying to make it seem light. He didn't want to stomp, or move rigidly, like his mood implied he should. No no, that wouldn't do at all.
So Hei kept moving, trying his best not to pay attention to those behind him. Because right now strangling all of them, captain included, sounded like a great idea. When he made it to the pink lady, she raised an eye brow at the green splotches in his hair and on his face, but let him go past without a word. For that he was exceptionally thankful.
He moved past the common room and headed up the stairs. Hei stopped off at his room to grab a towel and his night clothes. He also dropped off the book he had taken with him, tucking it into one of his night stand drawers before turning on his heals and heading right back out.
The desperate need for a shower was calling him, and he had no intention of denying that need.

| He was in trouble. Big trouble. And it had nothing to do with the detention he'd received or the points lost. No, it was much much worse. He'd pissed Hei off, and Gilbert wasn't stupid enough to think that he could sweet talk his way out of it this time. He'd been with Hei long enough to be able to sense the pure rage boiling just under the surface, even if no one else could.
It's what kept him from throwing an arm around Hei's shoulders, or even walking next to him. Instead, Gilbert walked behind Hei, carefully placing Raimundo between them. His face still throbbing from the hit he'd taken, his back even hurt a bit.
Needless to say, he tried not to look ashamed, or duck his head like some kicked dog. He watched Hei leave the common room, but he didn't dare to go after him. As it was, he was thinking of hiding in the common room all night. One night sleeping on the couch would be better then having to go up to the dorm and facing Hei, right? He could tell everyone else that he just didn't feel like sleeping in the same room as those losers, he needed a night to readjust to their levels of Lame.
Yeah... that sounded like a good excuse, right?
He shot a sad look towards where Hei had gone, before plastering his usual cocky grin in place. Trying to ignore the sinking feeling in his gut that he'd really fucked up, he looked at Raimundo and snickered, “You have mash potatoes in your hair.”

| He didn’t know about the other guys but he thought the first day of the year is a BLAST. Sure he got detention and not to mention the housepoints taken from them. But the laughter and food that filled the air was totally worth it. He chuckled at the memory and looked to his companions. His prima was pouting, Hei looked indifferent, best to stay away though, and Gilbert, well he seemed to be taking it well somehow.
The walk to the common room was rather uneventful. It was rather awkward too considering how the Prussian kept distancing himself from the Chinese teenager in front of him. When they finally reached the room, he flopped next to his prima without a word until Gil decided to break the silence.
“And why do you suppose THAT is.” The Brazilian rolled his eyes and snickered, playfully punching the other 5th year on the shoulder. “Have to admit, that was some pretty awesome mashed potato flinging back there.” He chuckled at the thought. “Lighten up guys. At least we’ll go down in Hogwarts history as the Troublesome Foursome or something.” He grinned, finding the name to be quite clever.
But what REALLY made his day was that Patty, the cocky little Slytherin who had the guts to blab on about being a pureblood on Gryffindor territory, slipped, tried to come up with a pitiful apology and was apparently hexed! He tried to stifle his laughter on their way out and looked at him from the corner of his eye. Normally, he would have laughed out loud then helped him out but today wasn’t entirely normal. He almost felt sorry for the American since he looked like a kicked puppy, almost. He had a feeling about who was behind the little curse and shot a glance to his prima. “You hexed him, didn’t you?” He asked with a playful grin on his features.

| Andrea’s mood seemed to be growing worse as the night progressed. She was still working on keeping herself from blowing up at her cousin and that stupid potato-flinger. As soon as she entered the common room, she plopped down on the sofa, watching Cheng make his exit in to the boys’ dorm. She didn’t care that she was covered in gravy or that her neck was still sticky from jello. She just wanted to cool down for a moment before heading upstairs, though she probably would have been better off doing it away from the presence of these two. Sure they could joke around about the food fight. They hadn’t just been kicked out of their last banquet at the school. They hadn’t just been shamed in front of the whole student body and all the new first years. What would they think of her now? They’ll think you’re amazing and know how to have fun, a snide voice in her head replied, but she shut it up. It was time to start acting like an adult, she told herself. Sinking down to the level of these hooligans was no way to win the respect of her lower classmates. But then…she had always liked it down here.
Andrea sighed and watched the interaction between the other two. Red-eyes was right; her cousin was still sporting the potato fashion. Andrea stopped herself from standing up and cleaning out his hair herself. Her maternal instincts were no match for the power of this grudge. When Flaco sat down beside her with that stupid, infuriating grin on his face, the Ecuadorian barely heard him. Instead, she gave him a good smack to the back of the head- something she had wanted to do since they’d left the Great Hall.
“What’s wrong with you?!” she demanded. “I would have thought you’d be a little more mature this year, Raimundo! Now the whole school is enjoying the feast while we’re stuck in here, sent to bed like a bunch of kindergarteners who couldn’t keep the food on their plates! It’s easy for you to laugh about it. You have time to make them forget all the stupid things you’ve done, but not me! This is my last chance. This year is the only one I have left! I don’t have any time left for mistakes, damn it! And I’m not going to let anyone reel me into making one again!”
So much for staying calm. The frustration was venting out of her now, and it was hard to stop when it felt so damn good.
“And you!” she snapped, turning in Beilschmidt’s direction and pointing a threatening finger at him. “Don’t think I’ve forgotten who started this, potato-brain! You’re just lucky you’re not on my team or I’d work your ass off till you couldn’t even lift the food to your own face! But don’t worry! You’ll get yours too! Sooner than you think!”
With that, she rose to her feet and huffed away, kicking a foot stool out of her path. It stung her toe a bit, but it also felt good, the way her rant had. She couldn’t deny that part of her felt guilty and hypocritical for taking her anger out on her cousin. Raimundo deserved the scolding, that was for sure, but after the way she had behaved at dinner, Andrea hardly felt like she had the right to give it any longer. Really, the one she was most upset with was herself. Crap…I really messed up. At least this was just the beginning. She still had the rest of the year to make it up. And she’d do it. Andrea would do it. She’d make this school remember her, whatever it took.
Upon coming to the top of the stairs, Andrea was greeted by a flutter of feathers, and her large scarlet macaw flew over and perched herself on her shoulder.
“Risa!” she greeted warmly, stroking the parrot lightly above the beak. “Did you miss me? Well, I’m back earlier than expected, but not for a good reason…”
She frowned back in the direction she had come from and started muttering something to her pet quietly.
Seconds later, the macaw descended into the common room. Andrea leaned close to the entry way at the top of the stars to listen, smirking as she pictured the look on the potato-flinger’s face as he was bombarded with a shot of Risa’s natural ammo. Her parrot gave a mocking squawk as she circled over the heads of the two boys downstairs.
“KRAA! That was for the gravy! KRAA!”
Good girl. | |
