Ludwig had a sinking sensation in the pit of his stomach when he headed upstairs. Stopping halfway in the upstairs hall he chewed his lip. What was he thinking? If the man left Gilbert down there to cook something lord only knows what would go wrong. No need to panic! Anything that the albino threw at him he could combat it or clean it. Well, he could only hope he was able to actually clean it up. Standing at the top of the staircase Ludwig finally started down slowly. Peering around the living room he noted Gilbert was not in there, and so then by default he was either in the kitchen or his lair. With a small sigh he rubbed the back of his neck and entered the kitchen.
Gilbert was sitting there at the table, drinking a beer, and looking decidedly calm. The fact that he looked decidedly calm was a bit unnerving. There was no tell tale grin of mischief on his face, and that was perhaps the most worrisome fact of all. Nervously his blue eyes glanced over to the pot on the stove. So unsuspecting, nothing boiling over or exploding which was nice. Perhaps Gilbert really did cook something? After all he knew his brother was more than capable or else he would never have ate as a child. With small steps he carefully approached the stove as if it would blow up. Reaching out as if the moment was life or death he grasped the lid of the pot. Taking a moment he looked back at Gilbert and then back at the pot on the stove. Lifting the lid up slowly a smell that he could not place hit his nose, but he was not liking it at all. Grimacing a bit he leaned over looking into the pot.
This dough like substance which had soaked up the liquid was growing a little large. The odd brown broth was making that stinking smell, and the dough was taking on an odd coloration. Unsure whether to be surprised, unsurprised or outraged Ludwig stood there in shock. Turning the stove temperature off he put the pot back on, and then turned around.
"Very funny bruder, very funny..." Of course he did not find it funny at all. There was not even a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.
